Can anyone give their opinion of these citrine engagement ring designs that I like?

First let me say, I'm not the "conventional" type of wife or bride. I've always liked unusual jewelry. My husband is going to have a engagement and wedding ring made for me, because I have an allergen to yellow/white gold and silver. He will be having it made in Bahrain, when he deploys. So making my new rings won't cost a fortune. I love the designs of these rings, but, I can't decide which one I would really like to have made for me out of platinum. If you have alternate rings, ideas or websites I would appreciate a link or a picture.

1) top pick bezel round idk about all the gold under the stone may take away some of the brilliance
2) center stone is small, love the design
3) the shoulders look like they may be a little pointy
4) this to me looks like a wedding band

6) I don't like how wide the shank is on this ring

Citrine is pretty hard, similar to quartz on the hardness scale. Topaz, which can be found in similar colours to citrine, is an even better choice for durability.

Lots of people (the really lovely boyfriends!) put effort into designing the ring – rather than picking one from a shelf. This is a really lovely thing – knowing that your ring is unique and special!
You are correct that a lot of e rings are diamonds only – but a lot incorporate other gemstones with the diamonds! If you do your research and realise that the opal and citrine don't match – then maybe think about just doing the citrine. Citrines are a beautiful amber colour and would look great alongside a diamond.
