I originally created this box for a polymer clay class that I took at a local community center. I remembered the teacher really loved what I did. The box was originally a tiny paper mache box that can be frequently found in arts and crafts stores like Michaels or A.C. Moore’s. I covered the box with polymer clay, added feet to the bottom, and added a hinge to the lid, and glued white felt to the inside. I’ve always felt this would be the perfect box to hide something really nice, like an engagement ring or a thin 24-karat gold choker.

There are many different types and qualities of gem minerals. It really depends on what you have. If you have clear gemstones in the rough they could be cut into faceted, cabochon or carved stones depending on the hardness and other physical properties. My question would be, what type of stones do you have and what do they look like? If you tell me I could give you more specific advise.
